Kremlin sees grain deal progress, rollover talks difficult

MOSCOW, Mar 9 (PRIME) -- These is some progress in fulfillment of the grain deal expiring on March 18, but many questions remain about the Russian grain and fertilizers' access to the global market, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

"There are still many questions concerning the final recipients, questions on where the bulk of the grain goes. Of course, questions on the second part of the agreement are well-known to everyone. There is some progress, but still, Russia plans to raise the question," Peskov said.

Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin does not plan to have a phone conversation on the matter with U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
